Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, has installed a WebPAX Clinical Trials system which will allow them to provide image management services for upcoming clinical trials. Sites participating in trials will have the ability to securely upload medical images to a central WebPAX server located at Johns Hopkins. The medical images uploaded will be capable of being accessed at anytime by the site and the Johns Hopkins core lab from anywhere in the world via a standard web browser without having to install or use specialized software. Heart Imaging Technologies' headquarters are located near North Carolina's Research Triangle Park. Formed in 2000, HeartIT provides web-based medical image management services and computing systems to regional health care systems, large hospitals and private clinics as well as drug and device companies sponsoring multi-center clinical trials. Worldwide, HeartIT's systems currently provide secure web browser access to over 100 million medical images. |
