Heart Imaging Technologies, LLC (HeartIT) is a privately held company formed in May 2000. HeartIT was founded by Robert Judd and Raymond Kim.
Robert M. Judd, PhD Dr. Judd received a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo and received his post-doctoral training in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins. After serving as Assistant Professor of Radiology at Johns Hopkins Dr. Judd relocated to Northwestern University in Chicago to lead a research effort focussed on cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging. In 2001 Dr. Judd relocated to Duke University to serve as Co-Director of the Duke Cardiovascular Magentic Resonance Center. Dr. Judd has served as principal or co-investigator on more than a dozen major federal research grants and has published over 70 scientific articles in journals such as Nature Medicine, The Lancet, Circulation, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Radiology, and the New England Journal of Medicine.
Raymond J. Kim, MD Dr. Kim is board certified clinical cardiologist who trained at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and received his master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford. Dr. Kim has worked in the field of cardiovascular imaging for more than 15 years, has presented over 90 invited lectures, and authored over 60 scientific papers and book chapters. He has served on the Board of Trustees of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, and currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
